The Bulletin of the High Institute
of Public Health (Bull HIPH) is a quarterly periodical that accepts articles on
different aspects of public health and its allied sciences.Papers are considered for publication with
the understanding that they are contributed to the bulletin only, and have
neither been published nor accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere. The
bulletin reserves all rights of reproduction and reproduction and republication
of material that appears in the Bulletin of the High Institute of Public
Health.
Original papers written in Arabic,
English, or French may be sent for consideration to the Managing Editor,

Two copies of the manuscript should
be provided. The text, together with the accompanying tables and figures,
should not exceed 15 double-space3d typewritten, letter quality 10 point type
on one side of A4 (210 x 297 mm) papers (4500 words). Three cm margins should
be provided on all sides. Tables and other material that have been reduced by photocopying
are not acceptable. The author will submit a 3,5 inch computer diskette
containing the text, tables, graphs, and illustrations. Please provide the text
in Microsoft Word processor format. Where possible, graphs should be provided
in Microsoft Excel format. IIIustations and photographs should be provided in
TIF format.
All papers will be peer-reviewed,
and on the basis of the reviewer's comments, the Advisory Board reserves the
right to accept or reject any paper. Papers are accepted on the understanding
that they are subject to statistical and editorial. Revision as deemed
necessary, including abridgement of the text and omission of tables or graphs.
Title page should be as
concise as possible, preferably around 10 words, and should be place on a
separate sheet, together with the full name(s) of the author(s), institutional
affiliation(s), and highest scientific degrees obtained. The mailing address,
as well as any contact information (E-mail, fax, and telephone) of the
corresponding author, should be provided. All authors should have made material
contribution to either the design, data collection, analysis, or writing of the
study. Other names may be included in the acknowledgement.
An abstract of no more
than 200 words should accompany each article. It should state the aim of the
study, basic methodology, main findings (give specific data and their
statistical significance), and principal conclusions.
Key words: A list of
not more than 10 key works has to be appended at the end of the abstract.
Papers reporting original research
findings should follow the IMRAD format: Introduction, Material and methods,
Results, And Discussion
Tables should be
typed at the end of the manuscript, each on a separate sheet, and numbered
serially in Arabic numerals as they are cited in the text. Tables should be
typed double-sp[aced and should not exceed in size an A4 Sheet.
IIIustrations: Graphs,
drawings, and photographs should be numbered serially in Arabic letters large
enough to be legible after necessary reduction. Original illustrations should
be provided. Two sets of photographs should be submitted as glossy prints with
the background data. If there is any text or lettering on the photograph, an
additional clean set should be provided without the text/lettering. The back of
each photograph of an uncounted set should have the figure number, name of
principal author, and an arrow indicating the top margin. Figures derived from
data must be accompanied by those data to enable redrawing if necessary.
References: In –text
citations of published works should be limited to essential to essential
up-to-date references. Apart from review articles, a maximum of 25 references
is advisable. They should be numbered serially as they appear in the
text with sequential Arabic superscripted numerals. References
should be listed separately at the end of the text, numbered in order of
citation, using the Vancouver style.
Reference to standard
periodical articles should include in this order: name(s)and initials(s) of author (s)
title of article, periodical name (either complete name or its international
abbreviation), year, volume, issue number (optional if the journal carries
continuous pagination throughouta
volume ) and first page and last page numbers ( omit repeated left digits ).
List the first six authors followed by et al. they should be written as in the
following example: Mansour KM, Nour El-Din MM. Compliance to recommended infection

The
title of biomedical periodicals should be abbreviated according to the style
used in the index Medicus. Consult ''List of journals indexed '' published
annually in the January issue of index Medicus.
Reference
to books by personal authors should include in this order: name (s) and
initials (s) ofauthor (s), title of
book, edition number, book title, city of publication, publisher, year, and.
Specific page numbers, They should be written as in the following example: Eaton AD,
Clesceri LS, Greenberg AE.Standard methods for the examination of waterand wastewater. 19th edition. Washington, DC: American

Reference
to chapter in a book should include in this order: name(s) and initials (s) of
author(s), Title of chapter, editor (s) of the book, edition number, city of
publication, publisher, year, and specific page number, they should be written

All accepted manuscripts are subjected to
editorial modification and revisionsnecessary
to bring them in conformity with the bulletin's style.
Original papers and diskettes will
not be returned except upon request from the principal author.
On publication, the principal author
will receive 50 reprints. If not a subscriber of thebulletin,
he will receive one copy of the issue in which the article appears as
